Winning back-to-back sectional titles to close out her basketball career, I’m sure Adrianna looks back on her time spent at Cal-Mum as a success. Here is her profile:

Adrianna Molisani – Cal-Mum High School – Girls Basketball

5’0″ – Senior

Career Highlight #1 – “Winning basketball sectionals 2 years in a row.”
Career Highlight #2 – “Making All Tournament team with Gill for sectionals 2 years in a row.”
Career Highlight #3 – “MVP last year, and All Tournament team two years in a row and Wheatland-Chili Tournament.”

Favorite thing about High School Sports: “I’ve played with the same group of friends since we were little kids.”

Most memorable moment in High School Sports career: “The opportunity to play in the state tournament in soccer, and win 2 sectional titles in a row – then when we celebrated at the monument after.”

Plans after High School: “Attend St. John Fisher and become a nurse practitioner.”

AB: Coach Reed speaks very highly of you. What has your relationship with the coaching staff been like throughout your time at C-M?

AM: I have always been close to MReed, Dorman, and Mr. Mervine. I stop by MReed’s office each morning at 7 am and we talk strategy and what we are going to do in practice. I love my coaches and the way they coach is to succeed. I’m really going to miss them next year but I’m glad I had the opportunity to make them proud by bringing home the 2-peat. Also a big congrats to MReed for winning coach of the year.

AB: Is there anything that you failed to accomplish together, that you wish you had now that your career is over?

AM: Yes, I wish this year we could have made it past the state qualifier so we could have gone to the State Tournament for soccer and basketball.

AB: Back-to-back titles are extremely impressive. Did one year mean more than the other? Or were they equally as sweet?

AM: They were equally sweet! Winning last year was crazy because we were the underdog and no one expected us to beat Dundee. This year we were confident and knew what we had to do. We were focused and played well in each our sectional games.

AB: Going forward, what do you see from the younger players in terms of their ability to continue to lead this program to success?

AM: I believe that our program will continue its excellence. Especially with all of the experience Gill Flint, Danielle Molisani, and Hannah Wade have. They have played the past 2 years, add in the juniors that are going to be seniors and the players coming up  from JV will give them the chance to go for a 3-peat!

AB: Do you think the Red Raiders can make it three in a row next year?

AM: Yes, I have no doubt in my mind that they can achieve a 3-peat, with 2 starters returning and the passion these girls have for basketball, they will try their hardest and I think get the title.
