Beginning their defense of the Class D Title, the Alexander Football team rolled Bolivar-Richburg last night by a final score of 41-0. It was all Trojans in this one, as RB Chris McClinic led the way for the offense – totaling 13 carries for 231 yards and 4 total TDs (punt return score).

“The hard work that the guys put in during the offseason really showed tonight,” remarked Alexander head coach Tim Sawyer following the game. “Usually there are ups and downs for the offense Week 1, but when you have backs like Chris and Terez (Smith), it makes things easier.”

Defensively, Alexander allowed just 2 first downs all night , while Danny Burns and Erik Scharlau each finished with 2 QB sacks.

Alexander starts off the season 1-0, and faces Pembroke next week.
