After several local wrestlers competed at the Eastern States Classic this past weekend, there was just one wrestler to finish in the top-4 of their respective weight class. Alexander’s Dane Heberlein defeated Theo Powers of Mexico in the third-place match at 120 lbs in order to earn his spot on the podium, which sets the stage for his upcoming state title run at 120 lbs in the coming months. During which, the Trojans’ standout will likely have to go through Powers yet again, as each wrestler has battled each other for multiple years at various weight classes.
