Allen has performed extremely well in various sports over his time spent at OACS. Starring in basketball, baseball, and football, his athleticism has helped create his identity, according to Chatt.

AB: Being a three-sport athlete, what do you think playing all three has done for your overall ability in basketball?
AC: Three sports have made me who I am. They have taught me more than I have ever imagined, between success, struggle and adversity in every sport, I don’t know where I’d be without them. It’s taught me how to push through a lot in basketball, it is a long season and many emotions get tested. It’s also one of the best releases and I would encourage kids to try and do as much as possible.
AB: Do you think basketball has helped the other sports as well?
AC: Basketball is a team sport, it’s not my best, so it has taught me how everyone had their own roles in the things they do. I take a back seat in basketball compared to things like football.
AB: In your mind, what makes basketball different from the other sports?
AC: I’ve loved baseball my entire life, football is just something I tried in 7th grade. But basketball is a great season, practicing inside everyday, having best friends /coaches, and growing with the boys has been a great way to leave high school.
AB: Do you enjoy any sport more than another or do you believe each sport has its own beauty?
AC: It does have its own beauty, but I am a baseball player. I do basketball for the boys and for coach, try to help with what I can but I try not over-step my boundaries.
AB: Finally, what will you miss most about playing basketball?
AC: We went through a lot of adversity this year, and it tested us and our coaches. But I’ll always have a good relationship with them and I’ll never forget them or my time with them.

As a three sport athlete, Allen has one more chance to prove his worth on the field of play. Expect an impressive season from him this coming baseball season.
