The Attica Girls Basketball team used a 24-point third quarter to defeat league foe Pembroke last night, by a final score of 53-37. The big night for the Devils came from forward Taylor Gadd, who scored 30 points to go with 20 rebounds.

“I’m very proud of the how the girls played tonight,” said first year Attica head coach Marissa Sell. “Pembroke was a tough, athletic team, and we handled their pressure pretty well.”

Aside from Gadd, Sell was happy with the performances of many of her other players as well.

“Everyone played their role, and that’s why we were able to be successful,” continued Sell. “We still have a lot to work on, but if we keep getting better, I’m excited to see where the season goes.”

With the win, Attica is now 2-0, while Pembroke falls to 2-1.

The Devils will look ahead to a matchup with Letchworth on December 11th, while the Dragons’ next game will be against Alexander on December 12th.
