Here is a brief preview of the 2018 Attica Track and Field team:

Attica Blue Devils (GR)

Season Outlook: Behind quality talent at the top of their roster, the Attica Girls are looking forward to quality depth in each event this season. Coming off of an 8-1 season, aspirations are high for the Lady Devils.

Although the Boys have seen a dip in terms of overall numbers on their roster this season, the athletes they do have seem ready to make the most out of their opportunities this season. Last year, the Boys team finished 5-3.

Key Players: Grace Kibler – Grace is a three-time GR League All-Star, with her most-notable performances in the past coming in the 2000 M Steeplechase. She will also contribute in the relays and is a solid leader for this young group.; Emily Tait – Emily is a two-time GR League All-Star who will do her damage in the Long Jump, as well as the 100 M Run.Weston Head – Weston will lead his team in the hurdle events this season, after proving to be an extremely versatile athlete last season who can also participate in the relays or the Pole Vault – depending on the matchup.

Coach’s Quote: “We have a solid girl in every event and feel good about our chances of scoring good points on both the track and in the field.” said Attica Girls head coach Adam Landphair.

“The boys team has been getting stronger and stronger each year and we expect that trend to continue,” said Attica Boys head coach Bill Sikes. “Although our numbers are slightly down from last year we feel very good about the athletes that we have on this year’s team.”
