The Batavia Boys Alpine Ski Team finished fourth out of eight teams in a Southern Tier League race last night at Swain Resort. Top-finishers for the Blue Devils were Alec Wagner (13th), Zack Wagner (23rd), Jack Keenan (27th) and Ryan Bowen (28th).

Top-finishers on the Girls’ side were Aubrey Towner (16th), and Lily Whiting (17th) – both of which competed individually with no team time.

“It was a warm night for racing at Swain,” commented Batavia coach Matt Holman following the race. “The snow was soft, but the course held up as a field of 96 racers completed a two-run Slalom Race on Wheels Run.”

“The Boys team returns to full strength on Saturday, January 13th at Swain,” Holman added. “When we release the hounds on a double race (both GS and Slalom).”
