Story submitted by John Reigle:

The Batavia Bulldawgs had another successful day for week 2 of the season.

The beginner team (6/7 yr olds) had the weekend off while the Mini team (8/9 yr olds) continued right where they left off last week capping off a 33 – 0 game against RoyHart Mini team. Led by the teams veteran running backs the Bulldawgs jumped out to a commanding lead in the first quarter and lead the entire game. The Mini Bulldawgs defense came strong again with many team tackles to hold the shut-out streak going.

Following that game, the JV (11/12 yr olds)  Bulldawgs followed in suit pulling off a 38-0 win over the RoyHart JV team. Highlighted be a strong defense and special teams play the Bulldawgs pulled out an early lead and maintained throughout the game with a shut out. Offensively the Bulldawgs moved the ball well on the ground and in the air.

The Varsity (12/13 yr olds) Bulldawgs continued to get better this week both offense and defense. The Bulldawgs found the endzone twice behind a strong run attack but ultimately fell short with a 40-14 loss.

The Bulldawgs will travel away this weekend against Holley. All four divisions will be playing. Please come out and support the Bulldawgs on the road as they represent our community.
