It was a tough day at Batavia High School for Blue Devils’ Lacrosse fans on Tuesday, as the BHS LAX team fell to Midlakes for the second time this season – by a final score of 21-14.

The Batavia defense, along with their inability to maintain possession, has been the team’s achilles heal this season.

Brandon Macdonell led the way for the Screaming Eagles in the win, netting 8 goals, while doling out 2 assists. Ryan Macdonell also put forth a notable performance with 6 goals and 5 assists, while Robert Middlebrook rounded out the top-scorers for Midlakes – scoring 4 goals.

Joe Allegue was the scoring-leader for Batavia in the loss, netting 4 shots, and contributing 3 assists. Mike Marrocco and Alex Snell added 3 goals a piece for the Blue Devils.

Batavia has never beaten Midlakes in the Devils’ ten-year history, as the Screaming Eagles are now 11-0 in the series.
