Batavia rebounds with convincing win over Auburn – Guerrero hurls five strong innings for Muckdogs

Behind five strong innings from starting pitcher Alberto Guerrero, the Batavia Muckdogs earned a big rebound win over divisional foe Auburn on Saturday night by a final score of 11-6. Guerrero allowed just one earned run in the win, while striking out five.

Offensively for the ‘Dogs three players finished with 2-RBI performances, including RF Jerar Encarnacion, 1B Sean Reynolds, and C Nick Fortes, but it was Encarnacion who recorded the big day at the plate with three hits, a walk, a double, and two runs scored.

Batavia and Auburn are back it it this afternoon. The third game of a three game set is currently underway.
