On Saturday night the Notre Dame Hockey team won their fourth and final matchup with Batavia – by a blowout final of 6-0. Despite a slow start to the contest, ND was able to pick up their offense near the end of the first period – scoring 3 goals by the time the horn sounded. Leading 3-0 after the first, ND would go on to score three more in the second period – and eventually won the game by the same six goal margin.

Scoring for the Irish were (in order) Ethan Hutchins, Hayden Chamberlain, Ryan Webster, Peter Madafferi, Webster, and Henrik Toiviainen, while assists were recorded by Cameron Clark, Brad Misiak (1st goal), Michael Keeler (2nd goal), Toiviainen, Ryan Antinore (3rd goal), Keeler, Chamberlain, Bryan Moscicki (4th goal), Antinore, and Clark (5th goal).

Ethan Conrad put forth the shutout in net for the Irish – stopping 19 shots in 19 chances.

The Irish swept the four games vs Batavia this season for the first time ever and now will move on to face Aquinas in the next round of sectionals – after the Lil’ Irish upset Brockport on Saturday.
