Here are the recipients of the Batavia’s Best 2016-2017 HS Hockey Awards:

MVP

Ryan Webster (Notre Dame) – Ryan played all-around solid hockey throughout his senior season, which included setting a new school record for career points. He recorded 34 points in 22 games this past year.

Offensive Skater of the Year

Cameron Clark (Notre Dame) – Cameron was the most-electrifying skater throughout local hockey this season. His ability to score the puck whether it be on an odd-man rush, breakaway, or on the power play was incredibly impressive. He recorded 38 points in 22 games this past year, amongst a team with several capable scorers – with whom Clark had to share the load.

Defensive Skater of the Year

Sam Haile (Genesee Ice Devils) – During Sam’s return to HS Hockey for his senior season, the Ice Devils’ defenseman proved himself as the most-effective in the area at his position. He scored 20 goals this past year – a high for Section V defenseman.

Goaltender of the Year

Ethan Conrad (Notre Dame) – Ethan was the top-goaltender in the area this season as a junior. His season save percentage was amongst the top-10 in Section V.
