I made my final stop on the Batavia’s Best 2018 HS Football Training Camp Tour this evening at Elba High School, where Oakfield/Elba was preparing for their first game of eight-man football.

A new era of football will hit the field at OA/E this season, but that doesn’t mean that the team doesn’t return plenty of experience – and they hope that leadership will ease the transition which they face this year.

OA/E will be led by a talented offense this year which has their starting QB and RB returning to the fold. I am expecting big things from this group.

After practice I caught up with OA/E head coach Mike Cintorino along with a few of his players, all of which seem excited to get into their game schedule this weekend.

I’m looking forward to following along with both local eight-man football teams this year. It all begins this weekend, when eight-man football kicks off around Section V.
