One team. One goal. Two championships.
Thats basically been the story of the Cal-Mum Girls Basketball team during the past two seasons.
Following a Girls Basketball Section V Title run a season ago, which also came with a Boys Basketball Sectional Title, the Red Raiders entered 2015-2016 perhaps unsure of what they truly could accomplish this season. Losing top-player Hannah Anderson from a season ago, but still retaining key players such as Gill Flint and Addy Molisani, there was certainly a chance for big things from this group – but nothing was set in stone.
However, with their convincing win over a gritty Avon squad last night at Rush-Henrietta, this CM team’s greatness has now been cemented, and will surely remembered for quite some time.
Congratulations to the Lady Raiders – back-to-back Champs.
