Last night the Cal-Mum Girls Basketball team fell to Letchworth by a final score of 39-35.
Late in the fourth quarter Julia Mertsock was able to hit a big three for the Indians in order to put C-M down five with under a minute to play. However, Gill Flint would answer for the Raiders second later with a three-pointer of her own in order to cut the deficit back down to two with thirty seconds to play. But having the foul the Indians on the next possession, C-M would watch as their opponent made 1/2 free throws in order to increase their lead to 3 with little time remaining – which is where the margin would stand.
Mertsock finished with 16 points for Letchworth, while Kelsey Hastings scored 15. Gill Flint scored 16 for C-M to equal Mertsock.
The Raiders are now 13-3.
