Carlson (OA), Tait (ATT), Zwolinski (PEM) all double-winners at Alexander Track and Field Invitational

This past weekend at the Alexander Track and Field Invitational, three local athletes walked away as double-winners, as Oakfield’s Shelby Carlson, Attica’s Emily Tait and Pembroke’s Bethany Zwolinski led their respective teams.

 

 

Carlson was the first place finisher in both the Division II Long Jump (14’9.5″) & Triple Jump (32’7.25″), Tait recorded victories in the Division I Long Jump (16’5″) & Triple Jump (34’11”), and Zwolinski led the way in the 400 M Run (1:02.15) & 200 M Run (27.58).

Eight other local athletes finished atop the podium in their respective events as well:

  • Grant Cox – Alexander – DII 800 M Run (2:09.43)
  • Lindsey Allen – Holley – DII 3000 M Run (12:23.28)
  • Kyle Mott – Oakfield/Elba – DII 1600 M Run (4:54.44)
  • Zack Hall – Oakfield/Elba – DII 3200 M Run (10:49.85)
  • Matt Hahn – Holley – DII Discus (109’04”)
  • Jenna Dersham – Pavilion – DII Pentathlon (1282)
  • Matt DeSimone – Holley – DII Long Jump (20’3″)
  • Ty Mott – Oakfield/Elba – DII Triple Jump (39’6″)

Three relay teams also had success, with Holley’s 4 x 400 Girls team composed of Lindsey Allen, Nina Dilella, Allyson Skehan, and Julia Smith winning in DII, Holley’s Girls 4 x 800 team (Allen, Dilella, Maddie St. John, Kayleigh Neale) achieving victory in DII, and Alexander’s 4 x 400 Boys team (Jay Morrison, Job Smith, Tyler Cook, Grant Cox) also winning in DII.
