Today at 1:00 pm, the Batavia Blue Devils will go for their first sectional championship in Baseball since 1998. They will be squaring off with the Wayne Eagles – who haven’t won a title since 1955. Here is a brief preview of today’s game:
Game Outlook: This game is an interesting one to forecast, as both teams are looking for their first titles in quite some time. Wayne comes into this game having beaten who I believed to be Batavia’s top-competition this year (HF-L), and feature two solid pitchers who have the ability to stifle the Blue Devil bats. However, Batavia has been steady against the teams on their schedule who they match up well against – losing most of their games this year to superior competition. The Devils feature a list of capable pitchers and a deep lineup. I would be surprised if they lost this game.
