After their worst losing-streak of the year ended earlier last week, the Sabres are now currently in the midst of a brief winning streak – having beaten Pittsburgh over the weekend, and Calgary last night.

Although their offensive issues continued during the win vs the Penguins, winning just 2-1 in a shootout, in their win over the Flames on Monday, Buffalo netted four goals and will look to carry that momentum on the attack into their matchup with Detroit on Thanksgiving Eve.

In other Sabres news, superstar Jack Eichel is scheduled to return to the roster in about three weeks.

“Jack is skating, upping his skating regime and showing signs of progress but still has a ways to go,” coach Dan Bylsma said to the Buffalo News the other day.

Also, Ryan O’Reilly is close to returning to the lineup after missing time with an oblique injury.
