Despite losing guard Madison Howard for the season due to injury, the Lady Lancers return as defending champions and should have another big season in store. Here is a brief preview of their upcoming slate:

Elba Lancers

Head Coach: Tom Redband

Record Last Season: 20-4

Key Players

Emily Reynolds (Senior) – Emily is once again the driving force for this year’s squad, after winning Section V Finals MVP a season ago.

Madison Muehlig (Freshman) – Madison will likely handle the ball more with the absence of Howard, giving her the opportunity for a breakout campaign.

Leah Bezon (Freshman) – As is the case with her teammate, Leah will also look to make the most of increased opportunities this season.

Brynn Walczak (Freshman) – Brynn rounds out a list of talented Lancer freshman.

Coach’s Outlook

“We have a very young, but experienced team who really loves the game. I am looking forward to coaching this eager group of young women; they all make coaching fun and very rewarding.

The girls have lofty goals and high expectations for themselves, but they also understand and appreciate the process.  The know the journey along the way takes hard work, discipline, and should be enjoyable despite the ultimate outcome if they have put the time in to be their best.”

– Elba HC Tom Redband
