Last night at SUNY Geneseo, the Notre Dame Hockey team lost to the Geneseo Blue Devils for the second-consecutive time, falling 3-2. This matchup has presented the only sign of trouble for ND this year, as they are 12-0 against other teams within their league.
Performing well despite defeat on Thursday was ND’s Ethan Conrad, who recorded 31 saves in order to keep his team in the game into the later minutes.
“We played like we were nervous and afraid to lose,” said ND head coach Marc Staley following the game. “Geneseo is clearly the best team right now in Class B.”
Brad Misiak and Devin Grimshaw scored for the Irish in the loss.
Scoring for the Devils in the win were Mitchell Walton, Peter Taylor, and Billy McDevitt.
The two teams will play one more time this season on February 2nd.
