Here is my third edition of Power Rankings for the 2018 local HS Baseball season.

1. BATAVIA

The Blue Devils won a share of their Monroe County League Divisional Title and are looking forward to the Class A2 sectionals where they will enter as a top-five seed.

2. LE ROY +2

Le Roy has posted a 6-1 mark over their last seven games with their only loss during that span coming to Class A1’s top-team, the Canandaigua Braves. The Knights are the defending Class C1 champs and will be a threat to repeat in the coming weeks.

3. PEMBROKE -1

The Dragons won the GR League Division I title this season but come in as a middle of the road contender for the Class C1 crown. They will likely ride ace Zach von Kramer as long as they can during the postseason, but it remains to be seen how the matchups will shake out in the coming weeks.

4. CAL-MUM -1

The Red Raiders have lost five games during the month of May, but have won their last two which has kept their head above water within their sectional classification.

5. ATTICA +3

Attica finished the regular season strong, but the Blue Devils have a tough road ahead in the sectional tournament. Wins over Alexander, Notre Dame, and Pembroke propelled them to a bump in my rankings. Much like Pembroke, Attica will also try to ride their top-pitcher during the postseason. Blue Devils’ ace Sam Cusmano has been one of the top-pitchers in the area this year.

6. ALEXANDER -1

Losses to Holley, and Attica caused the Trojans to fall a spot in my rankings, but I still view the Trojans as a formidable squad who could make a bit of noise during the postseason.

7. NOTRE DAME -1

Leading up to my last edition of Power Rankings, Notre Dame was riding a four-game losing streak. Since that point, however, the Irish are 8-3 in their last 11 games and have made a push toward the top of the Class D1 standings. Look out for this team as an under-the-radar team during the postseason.

8. OAKFIELD +1

Oakfield has endured an up-and-down year but may have yet to play their best baseball. If they can get things rolling they might be an exciting team in Class C2.

9. HOLLEY +1

Holley is another team, like Oakfield, who has been middle of the road in the GR League. They are currently in the bottom five in Class C1.

10. LYNDONVILLE -3

Lyndonville has gone through a rebuilding year which has included a bit of turbulence. I could see them winning a sectional game, but not much more than that.

11. BYRON-BERGEN

Byron-Bergen hasn’t had much success this year.

12. PAVILION

The Gophers are looking forward to next year after a difficult 2018 regular season.
