So, in case you missed it last night, Jack Eichel single-handidly beat the Rangers last night – and boy was it awesome.

The Sabres took an early 1-0 lead vs NY on Thursday, after a Larsson butterfly from the red line snuck past Lundqvist and into the back of the net.

The Rangers scored the next two goals, and led 2-1 in the second period. Following which, Foligno to Gionta for the Sabres tied the score at 2-2.

Then, Staal scored for NY and they regained the lead at 3-2. That’s when Jack happened.

Over the course of 1:43 during the third period, the young Sabres’ playmaker scored two goals in order to push his team back into the lead at 4-3 – which turned out to be the final tally of the game.

It was incredible to watch and perhaps even more incredible when trying to comprehend what had just happened. This guy, fresh off an injury, put together yet another memorable performance and propelled his team to a much needed victory. The Sabres are 4-1-1 (by my count) since his return, and will continue to make their push for a more-respectable record heading into the middle part of December.

Moving forward, the sky is the limit for Eichel, who just seems to lift the level of this team on the ice, simply with his presence.
