Jack Eichel suffered a bad high-ankle sprain today with 8 minutes to go in practice – which will likely keep him out a month or two. High-ankle sprains are tough in hockey, due to there being no truly effective rehab to prepare for on-ice skating, and setbacks occur with regularity throughout a player’s recovery.

What does this mean for Buffalo?

It means we’re screwed. I mean, on the same day Toronto’s top-pick Auston Matthews scored 4 goals in his NHL debut, and during the same week in which Edmonton’s Connor McDavid was named the Oilers’ captain – our star goes down in a heap and is expected to miss extend time.

What the hell?

Typical BuffaLuck.
