The Le Roy Track and Field program secured another Section V Title this afternoon, as the Boys team finished atop the pack in Class CC for the eleventh title in their history.
There were four Knights who achieved first place finishes in their individual events, while one recorded two wins: Canyon Roster – 200 Meters (22.86); High Jump (6’1″); Gaven Cassidy – 400 Hurdles (59.16); Ethan Roy – Pole Vault (12’3″); Collin Stauffer – Triple Jump (42’11”).
On the girls side, Le Roy finished fourth in the overall competition. McKenna Cone recorded a huge day winning three events – the 100 Hurdles (15.76); Long Jump (16’11.75″), and Triple Jump (35’10.50″). Courtney Kacur also won the Steeplechase.
Elsewhere in local track and field, the Batavia Boys finished second in Class B, while the Pembroke Girls came in 3rd in Class CC.
For the BHS Boys, Anthony Ray was the lone winner, recording winning throws in both the Shot Put (58’7.75″), and Discus (155’09”). Other local winners included: Attica’s Emily Tait – Class B Long Jump (17’11.75″); Pembroke’s Morgan Farrington – Class CC 100 Meters (12.43); Holley’s Angie Weaver – Class CC Shot Put (31’10.50″).
