Led by 18 points from Canyon Roster, the Le Roy Boys Basketball team eased past Keshequa last night by a final score of 69-30. In a game that was never close, the Knights used double-figure scoring from four of their players – as the 18 from Roster was accompanied by 12 from Luke Stella, 10 from Reece Tresco, and 10 from TY Williams.

The unselfish play which the Knights have sported through two games this year is what carried them to the sectional semifinals in 2016-2017, and despite a coaching change, they have been able to carry over what fueled their fire a season ago.

“Our kids are really enjoyable to coach,” remarked new Le Roy head coach Matt Weinman following the win. “They are working hard each day, and love being around each other.”

Next up for the Knights will be a match up with perennial LCAA power Livonia – at home on Friday night.

“We need to have a great practice tomorrow – heading into our home opener,” finished Weinman.

Le Roy is now 2-0.
