Last night at Scottsville Ice Rink the Notre Dame Hockey team demolished the Rush-Henrietta Royal Comets by a final score of 7-1. Scoring early and often, the Irish were able to use their physical play in order to overcome a quality Rush team by the wide margin. Leading the way for ND was Henrik Toiviainen who recorded a hat trick along with an assist on the night.

Also performing well for the Irish in victory was Ryan Webster, as he finished with 3 assists. Cameron Clark, Reid Rademacker, Ryan Antinore, and Brad Misiak also scored for ND, while Antinore included a sweet between the legs assist on the Rademacker goal during the second period.

In net for Notre Dame Ethan Conrad performed beautifully, recording over 15 saves on the night including these two beauties:

Lastly, another element of ND’s play that impressed me on Tuesday was their overall physicality throughout all three periods. Take a look at these three big blows delivered during the course of the game:

All in all, it was a great night for the Irish all-around. With the win they improve to 4-0 and remain atop their division.

Next up for the Irish will be Batavia on Saturday at 3 pm. Tune in later this week for a game preview.
