Season Outlook

With OA/E’s transition to eight-man football this year there is no telling what to expect from this group. Although they are an experienced bunch with plenty of talent, the change in rules and situations on the football field will certainly put OA/E through a learning experience in 2018.

With that being said, the Oakfield/Elba coaching staff is as prepared as any and is sure to put their players in position to succeed, making me believe that a successful season could be coming up for this team.

Key Players

Gage Dieterle (Senior RB/LB) – Gage led the team in tackles a season ago and also was one of the team’s leading-rushers. I expect a big year out of him.

Colton Dillon (Junior QB/LB) – Colton returns for his third season as the team’s starting quarterback. His experience is sure to serve him well under center this season.

Dylan Rykert (Junior OL/DE) – Dylan will be the anchor of the offensive and defensive line this season. His leadership will be vital to the team’s ability to transition to the new style of football that they’ll be playing this year,

Coach’s Quote

“We’re excited to see what these changes bring in a much faster, more wide-open game,” said head coach Mike Cintorino. “The athletes that are a part of this team are perfectly suited to be successful for this type of football and fast pace that it will provide.”

Oakfield/Elba opens up with a tough game vs CG Finney. Be sure to check back for stats and info after the game!
