Reid has proven to be quite the impressive multi-sport athlete.  Here is his profile:

6’2″ – 175 lbs – Sophomore

Career Highlight #1 – “Scoring 17 points both times we played against Attica.”
Career Highlight #2 – “Being the leading scorer vs Oakfield as a Freshman.”
Career Highlight #3 – “Winning the Warsaw Tournament.”

Favorite thing about High School Sports: “The life lessons you learn, and the friends you make.”

Most memorable moment in High School Sports career: “The overtime win vs Arkport-Canaseraga when I had 17 points and four free throws at the end to seal the win.”

Plans after High School: “To attend college and hopefully play a college sport, along with studying PE in order to become a PE Teacher like my uncle Ron Funke.”

AB: Being such a quality multi-sport athlete, what goes into that for you?

RM: Playing three sports has always even a part of me. It gets tough when you really don’t have an offseason, but I manage it well.

AB: Do you feel your ability to do well in multiple sports has helped improve your game in basketball?

RM: Yes. Each sport has and is based on a team concept – which has allowed me to make many friends through sports.

AB: You are extremely versatile on the court, with the ability to play inside and outside. Do you believe your versatility comes from your wide range of athletic ability which is needed to play more than one sport?

RM: Yes. I love playing football, basketball, and baseball. Each sport requires dedication and discipline (which has helped me as an athlete).

AB: Going into next year, what do you see from your team in terms of your future success?

RM: The future looks very bright. The team returns four starters and there will also be a talented group of Juniors moving up from an undefeated JV Team.

AB: Finally, what do you hope to accomplish next season as a team?

RM: The block (Section V Trophy) – Pembroke Boys Basketball is long overdue for winning a sectional title.
