Seven meet records set at GRNO Swimming Championships last night

Last night at Gates-Chili, the GRNO Swimming Championships saw several meet records set (complete results can be found at Section5Swim.com).

Lauren Hume of Alexander eclipsed the old record of 2:00.90 in the 200 freestyle by just tenths of a second, as she swam the event in 2:00.28. In addition, she broke the old meet record in the 500 freestyle – finishing in 5:24.03 on Friday.

Madi LaGrou of Oakfield also recorded a new meet record in the 200 IM, as she finished in 2:16.99, ahead of the old record of 2:17.63. Lastly, LaGrou broke the old record in the 100 backstroke, swimming it in 1:01.86 on Friday.
