Batavia Boys Basketball, playing without 2 starters Trevor Sherwood and Greg Mruczek (illness), were able to get a victory on the road 58-44 over Eastridge.

With Sherwood and Mruczek out Steven Stefaniak and Alex Canty stepped into the starting lineup and the Blue Devils didn’t miss a beat.  Stefaniak didn’t score, but had 5 rebounds, 7 assists, and took care of the ball well with 0 turnovers.  Canty helped pick up some of scoring as he finished with 10 points(7-10 FT).

Malachi Chenault continued his good start to this season with 18 points and 9 rebounds, Adonis Davis reached double figures with 10, and Ryan Hogan did a little of everything to pick up the slack with 9 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds.

Batavia played their typical excellent defense holding Eastridge to 15-42(36%) from the floor and allowed only 18 points in the pain as Eastridge settled from long jump shots all night.  The win moves Batavia to 4-0 on the season as they look forward to a home game Friday against Greece Odyssey.
