Coming equipped with ten total seniors this season, the Batavia Boys Basketball possessed perhaps the most experience a single Blue Devils team has ever had before in the school’s illustrious history. Because of that, along with the fact this group has played alongside one another for years, and years, they find themselves just one game away from the NYSPHSAA Final Four.

They’ve done it as a team. As a brotherhood.

As we await Saturday night at Buff State, where the Devils will take on Williamsville South in the Far West Regional, one thing from this group has been made incredibly apparent – and that is that they have done this for each other. In fact, that was the only way they could have accomplished all that they have.

During a rough middle portion of their schedule, which even bled into the later-portion of the regular season, this team seemed to be ripping apart at the seams – with no end to the misery in sight. However, they somehow came together down the stretch and seem to have developed a sense of accountability that didn’t exist for about 90% of the year.

That’s been the difference.

Playing for one another.

I urge everyone to go out and support the hometown team at Buff State this weekend. Join the movement.

Another one.
