Tom performed admirably for the Knights this season and was one of their top offensive threats night-in, and night-out. Here is his profile (questions were asked prior to sectionals):

Tom Dunn – Le Roy High School – Boys Basketball

6’0″ – 170 lbs – Senior

Career Highlight #1 – “Beating Notre Dame and ending their 62-game home win streak.”
Career Highlight #2 – “Scoring 26 points against Letchworth in a divisional game.”
Career Highlight #3 – “Breaking 300 points in a single season against Geneseo this season.”

Favorite thing about High School Sports: “The chance to play the games I love with all of my friends, and being able to learn more about myself than just school can allow.”

Most memorable moment in High School Sports career: “After beating Notre Dame, cheering in the locker room, chanting ’62’ because we ended their home win streak.”

Plans after High School: “I plan to attend college to pursue an education in electrical engineering, although my college choice is still undecided.”

AB: You have been the team’s top offensive threat this season, and I was wondering, with that have you felt any extra pressure to perform each game or is it business as usual for you?

TD: There is a little bit of added pressure, but I know that I can also rely on my teammates to get the work done. Because if I have a bad game, they are still there for me. They help a lot with any pressure I feel.

AB: Also, your team has been strong defensively for much of the year. Who has been the propelling factor for your defense this season?

TD: In the beginning of the season, the guards did the most on defense. However, once the season got going, everyone started to contribute more and more on defense – and that is what helped us win a lot of games.

AB: What do you see as your team’s overall strength?

TD: Our team’s overall success is due to defense. When we play defense to the best of our ability, it opens up opportunities for fast breaks and easier points.

AB: Do you believe you can use that strength to your advantage down the stretch of sectionals?

TD: I do believe that this can help us in Sectionals because it not only gives us more confidence on defense, to get those quick turn arounds, but it also helps our confidence on offense.

AB: Where do you see this season ending for you guys?

TD: If we play as hard as we can and leave nothing left in the tank, we can go pretty far. But if we decide to take plays off, that will likely mean the end of the road for us.
