This evening it was reported by several media outlets that University of Florida starting quarterback Will Grier was suspended for using PEDs. Grier’s suspension comes at an interesting time, when performance enhancing drugs seem to have been pushed to the rear view mirror in favor of other scandalous topics such as domestic violence and the deflation of footballs.

However, this report brings up an interesting matter to discuss, which is the prevalence of performance enhancing drug use at the college, as well as high school, level. With less testing, and less regulation within the high school and college game, it’s not against totally crazy to wonder how many athletes are continuing to use PEDs.

I’m sure there will be more concerning this topic in the coming days.
