It’s been amazing to see what the Wheatland-Chili Girls Soccer team has been able to accomplish in recent seasons. They are currently two-time defending NYSPHSAA Champions, and have now won their fourth-straight Section V Title following a 4-0 win over York in Friday night’s Class C3 Final.

Sophomore forward Niyah Rosado, who has led the Wildcats’ efforts this season, was once again effective for her team and scored 2 of their 4 goals in the title game. The other tallies were recorded by 7th grade midfielder Emily Parker, and junior midfielder Lindsey Clar. Clar also assisted on Parker’s goal.

Janae Hooker made 3 saves in the shutout win for W-C.

In addition to their win in the Class C3 Championship game, the Wildcats also went on to win the first of two Class C crossover games – a 2-1 victory over Avon. In that game Lindsey Clar, and Jenna LaMere scored the goals for W-C, while Clar, and Cassie Parker each recorded assists.

Next up for Wheatland-Chili will be the second Class C crossover game, vs Marion tomorrow night at Penfield HS. Kickoff time is 6:00 pm.
