Wheatland-Chili’s Girls Soccer head coach Gary Ward wins 500th game in 2017 Class D crossover

The Wheatland-Chili Girls Soccer team defeated Arkport last night in the Section V Girls Soccer Class D crossover game, by a final score of 2-0. Upon defeating the Blue Jays, the Wildcats’ earned their head coach Gary Ward his 500th career win.



Scoring for W-C in the big win over ARK were Niyah Rosado and Hannah Callaghan, while Rosado and Cassie Parker each chipped in an assist. Arkport’s McKenna Cuozzo made an amazing 27 saves in the loss in net, but it just wasn’t enough as the Wildcats are headed back to the NYSPHSAA Tournament.

Wheatland will face-off with North Collin of Section VI at Williamsville South HS this Friday night at 5:00 pm. The winner will move on to the State Final Four.
