Upon gathering nominees for this year’s Girls Basketball Underclasswoman of the Year, I overlooked one potential candidate – Oakfield’s Brianna Smith – who I mistakenly had marked down as a junior rather than what she actually is – a sophomore. Therefore, I am resetting the voting for this category, and have added Brianna to the list of nominees. I apologize for the oversight.
UPDATE: I also made a mistake with Batavia’s Emma Krolczyk (another sophomore who I had down as a junior), so once again I have reset the voting – for what I believe will be the final time.
I truly apologize for my oversight, but I feel if I were to leave someone out that would be worse than resetting the vote a couple of times.
