More than 15 local athletes win Section V Titles over the weekend at Track & Field Championships

This weekend at the Section V Track and Field Championships, several local athletes performed exceptionally well in their respective events. Throughout Classes B, C, CC, and D, more than 15 area runners, jumpers, and throwers won individual Sectional Titles, with Batavia leading the way with 4 total athletes finishing the weekend as Champions:

CLASS B – Kiaya Franklin – 200 M – 26.00

CLASS B – Elizabeth Cohen – Pole Vault – 9’00”

CLASS B – Andrew Mruczek – Long Jump – 21’9.5″

CLASS B – Butch Ray – Shot Put – 54’3.5″

CLASS B – Butch Ray – Discus – 143’9″

Pembroke had 3 athletes who won individual Section V Titles:

CLASS B – John Geissler – Shot Put – 45’00”

CLASS B – Killian Lewis – Discus – 151’4″

CLASS B – Lucas Kohorst – 400 M – 52.27

Wheatland-Chili had 3:

CLASS D – Lindsey Clar – 3000 M – 11:04.16

CLASS D – Abigail Smith – Long Jump – 15’1″

CLASS D – Dylan Vogel – 3200 M – 10:18.65

CLASS D – Dylan Vogel – 3000 M Steeplechase – 10:31.33

Le Roy finished with 2:

CLASS CC – Canyon Roster – 200 M – 23.80

CLASS CC – Maxin McKenzie – 3000 M Steeplechase – 10:16.51

While Notre Dame, Pavilion, Alexander, and Byron-Bergen all finished with one a piece:

CLASS D – Brad Misiak (ND) – 200 M – 22.84

CLASS CC – Brandon Burke (B-B) – Long Jump – 22’3″

CLASS C – Morgan Adams (PAV) – Pole Vault – 10’3″

CLASS C – Olivia George (ALEX) – 100 M – 13.03
