Here are 5 things to know about today’s Notre Dame vs Batavia Volleyball match:
1. For Notre Dame, the combination of Shea Norton and Mary Kate Miceli has been absolutely lethal. Norton leads the Irish with 58 kills, while Miceli has racked up 72 assists.
2. For Batavia Tessa Engel and Madison McCulley are the top-duo, as in a recent match vs Eastridge, Engel finished with 10 kills while McCulley came away with 21 assists.
3. In addition to the top performers in this matchup, there are several other athletes who will also play a role in the outcome tonight. Batavia’s two sets of sisters for example, the Swiatowy’s (Maddie and Meghan) and Stefaniak’s (Taylor and Ryann), will be crucial for the Blue Devils, as will the likes of Nichol Salvador and Rebecca Krenzer on ND’s side.
4. The top performance for a Notre Dame player so far this season was a 20 kill effort from Norton vs Byron-Bergen on September 29th. (Batavia statistics were unavailable)
5. The game tonight is scheduled for 6:00 pm at Batavia High School, with the JV game starting at 4:30 pm.
