The Alexander Football team had no trouble with Pembroke last night – defeating the Dragons by the final score of 40-7.

The top performance on part of the winning team came from Derrick Busch on Friday, as the tight end/linebacker recorded 3 catches for 54 yards offensively, while also making 3 interceptions on the defensive side of the ball – one of which went for a touchdown. He also recorded 9 total tackles and a fumble recovery vs the Dragons.

In addition to Busch’s excellence last night, RB Jake Wozniak also shined for the Trojans in their victory. The Senior completed the night with just 13 carries, but made the most of them by scampering for 165 yards and 3 touchdowns by game’s end. Rounding out the night for Alexander, Zach Jasen, Jared Browne, and Dustin Schmeider also scored touchdowns for their team.

With the win, Alexander is now 4-2 as they approach the final week of the regular season, while Pembroke sits at 1-5. The Trojans will await a tough matchup with Elba/Byron-Bergen to round out the year next Friday, while Pembroke finishes with CG Finney in Week 7.
