Behind at halftime, and only ahead three at the end of the third quarter, the Alexander Girls Basketball held on to defeat Red Creek last night by a final of 54-42. Stephany McBride stepped up big for the Trojans, scoring 10 points to lead her team, while Olivia George was just behind her with 9 points. For RC, Katie Smith scored a game-high 11 points, while Izzy Wilber equaled McBride’s 10 points.
“(Red Creek) played very well,” said Alexander Marcia Hirsch following the game. “We started slow, but finally settled in and started playing our game (towards the end).”
