Despite much of the hype concerning the beginning of the 2017 Fall Sports season going the way of the gridiron, we must not forget about all of the other high school athletes who will be beginning their fall season tomorrow morning. Volleyball, soccer, and cross country teams will all endure their first practice of the preseason on Monday, and will continue to prepare for just a couple of weeks – prior to the beginning of game action which typically comes around the last week of August.

Returning to the fold as defending sectional champions will be the Cal-Mum Girls Volleyball team, the Wheatland-Chili Girls Soccer team, along with the Oakfield/Elba Cross Country team, while WCGVS finished last season as state champ as well.

Which teams will work their way to the mountain top this season?

Stay tuned to find out.
