GatorWhen a City of Parkland Parks and Rec employee discovered an alligator roaming a soccer field, he immediately called 911. When deputies arrived, they knew exactly who to contact, BSO Marine Unit/Dive Team Supervisor, Sgt. Joe Capua. Sgt. Capua and a FWC Fish and Wildlife Research Institute Officer arrived on the scene and secured the gator until a state licensed trapper could respond and take custody of the big fella. The gator was about 7′ in length and luckily, no kids were on the field!
