The Lady Devils pulled out a gritty win last night under the lights at HFL High School, beating NR-W 2-1 in sudden death overtime. Presented with a small deficit during the second half of last night’s contest, Attica found it within themselves to battle back.
After falling behind, midway through the second half Alysson Hendel was able to finally break the seal for the Devils with a nice goal to get her team back in it. Following a few more minutes of scoreless play, the two teams found themselves still tied, and headed to overtime.
As two overtime periods went by, neither team could find the back of the net so they went to sudden death.
In the final frame, Allison Becker found her way to the nicely-played winner which, in the end, advances her team to the next round. The Devils were incredibly excited following the win, and will move on to face #1 Livonia in a few days.
