The Batavia Baseball team has had quite the season, and now they will cap things off with a Sectional Final appearance later this week. With their 11-5 win over Wayne, which came in relatively convincing fashion, the Devils now move on to face Aquinas – who they have already beaten this season.

In Tuesday’s game, both Noah Dobbertin and Steve Stefaniak paced the Batavia offense with two hits a piece, while also adding 3 and 2 RBI respectively. Moving forward, if these two can continue their hot streak at the plate, this will give Batavia an extra push which they have been lacking at times throughout this season.

All but one Batavia player in the lineup recorded hits on the day, and even the one who didn’t (Jerry Reinhardt) managed to get on base, score a run, and add 2 RBI. To put it plainly, everyone chipped in for the Devils yesterday in one way or another. Greg Mruczek also had 2 RBI for Batavia. Dwayne Fonda and Casey Radka had the other two RBI.

Stay tuned for a finals preview.
