It was déjà vu all over again at GCC last night, as the Batavia Boys Basketball team ran away with a win in the Finals of the 2017-2018 Batavia Lions Club Tournament, rolling Notre Dame in the Title game for the second-straight season.
The Blue Devils won last night’s contest by a final of 68-45 behind Tournament MVP Mason McFollins’ 17 points, and 14 points a piece from Steve Gilebarto and Antwan Odom. A 26-4 first quarter pretty much locked up the win for Batavia, as Notre Dame struggled to score early-on vs the Devils’ pressure defense.
For the Irish in the loss, Ryan Moffat scored 11 points and was awarded All-Tournament Team Honors, along with Odom, and Gilebarto.
With the win, Batavia is now 5-2, while ND drops to 7-1.
