Quotes from the Head Coach
“The Batavia Girls Soccer program will be returning five starters from last year’s team along with experienced Seniors, Juniors, and Sophomores.
Junior Maggie Cecere, who led Batavia last year in scoring (10 goals/7 assists), will anchor the attack along with speedsters Sophia Dinehart and Kiaya Franklin. Senior Captains Sam Cecere and Lindsey Hill will lead Batavia in the back, along with new comers Allison Moore, Brigid McCormack, and 2nd year starter Lynese Castro.
The Team hopes to continue the success it had last year by running a very fast paced and high pressure attack. Our goal is to maintain or reduce our Goals Against from 2014, while increasing our goals by 5-10 from last year’s 27. If we can do that we should finish with a 500 or better record and hopefully a home sectional game in Class A. Our program continues to improve mainly because of support from our local Batavia Soccer Club and BHS Girls Booster Group. Both organization supply the girls with many opportunities to improve their skill during the offseason which is so important to the BHS Program.
This team will be better conditioned from previous teams and that will be needed to support the fast paced style that we plan on playing. Win, Lose, or Draw this team is family and I see them growing throughout the season.”
