The Batavia Swim team finished 7th out of 14 schools at Section V Swimming Sectionals this season, as the Devils saw 7 total swimmers compete against larger-size schools such as Brighton, Brockport, Canandaigua, and HFL. Batavia had 3 eighth graders compete in Sectionals, along with 2 juniors, a sophomore, and a freshman – all of which put forth a quality showing in their respective events.

Natalie Amico and Maiya Reinhart each qualified for the Finals in their events, while Elle Fulton took part in her event’s Consolation Final.

Reinhart finished 3rd in the 100 freestyle and 5th in the 50 freestyle, breaking a school record which had stood at BHS since 1989.

Congratulations to the entire Batavia Swim team on a fantastic season!

UPDATE:

In addition to the information above, Natalie Amico placed 5th in the 100 m Butterfly, and the 400 free Relay of Reinhart, Norah Janes, Elle Fulton and Natalie Amico also placed 5th.
