After a long week of action around HS Sports, here are our Batavia’s Best Athletes of the Week (12/14/2015 – 12/19/2015):
Freshman – Callie McCulley (Notre Dame Girls Basketball)
McCulley scored 15 points in the Lady Irish win over Lyndonville on Tuesday. Just a ninth grader, she combined with Senior Becca Krenzer for 40 of her team’s points vs the Tigers – earning herself a spot in this week’s Athletes of the Week.
Freshman – Ryann Stefaniak (Batavia Girls Basketball)
Stefaniak dropped 15 points in the Lady Devils victory over Odyssey on Thursday. Only a freshman, the future is bright for this one.
Sophomore – Carly Olles (Notre Dame Swimming)
Olles won the 50 freestyle as well as the 100 free vs Wheatland-Chili earlier last week. Just a sophomore, she also combined to win the 200 free and 400 free relays vs the Wildcats.
Sophomore – Reid Miano (Pembroke Boys Basketball)
Reid scored 15 points in the Dragons overtime win vs Byron-Bergen on Friday. Miano is only a sophomore.
