For this week’s version of Batavia’s Best, we’re starting things off in high school this week. A Maryland football recruit broke off this RIDICULOUS 92-yard touchdown run

WHAT?! WHAT?! HOW?! If this was Madden, the other player would’ve quit so fast. Lorenzo Harrison disappears, and then somehow breaks off a 92-yard TD. Hopefully we’ll see something like this in college, as he’s headed to Maryland next year.

Next up is the bat flip heard around the world. Jose Bautista will forever be the king of bat flips. Don’t try to one up him.

The 7th inning in Game 5 of the Blue Jays vs. Rangers series was the craziest inning of baseball I’ve ever witnessed. I would’ve killed to be in the Rogers Centre at that moment. Enough electricity to put National Grid out of business was generated from that moonshot. I don’t know if it went farther than Kyle Schwarber’s dinger though.

You can try to tell me that ball only went 418 feet all you want, but that ball was hit about 500 feet, if not more. If the scoreboard isn’t there, that ball might’ve cleared city limits. SCHWARBO.

The real superstar of the MLB postseason, though? This guy:

He’s just here to ruin your kids’ night by snagging the foul ball that was seemingly destined to go to the kid. Double gloves? Total power move. Time to move over Ozzie Smith, this guy is in town.

Alex Rodriguez is the best villain in sports. He’s gotten too big for the MLB, and is now invading the NFL like a real villain would. He walks onto the set of FOX’s NFL pregame show, and breaks a TV screen.

He just killed that TV, and he’s laughing about it. What a sadistic man. Marvel should cast him for the next superhero movie. The role would come naturally to him.

I’m not a big NBA fan, but I’m all about new posters being made. This poster was made by Larry Nance Jr.

The rookie already doing big things. While I don’t like the Lakers, I was a big fan of Nance last year when he was at Wyoming. All about the stretch 4s. Los Angeles is really building a nice core, with Jordan Clarkson, D’Angelo Russell, and a returning Julius Randle.

In the same game, reigning MVP Steph Curry produced his second insane highlight of the preseason as well.

I don’t know how he does it, but it just seems like he’s able to get himself out of any bad situation. Most players wouldn’t have kept possession after slipping, let alone recovering and burying a corner 3.

Last, but not least, I’d like to thank the Michigan Wolverines for providing us with this fan. He’ll surely provide the internet with a plethora of memes for the rest of the season.

Someone needs a new pair of khakis…

And then this guy…

Sports are a double-edged sword. It’s alright, champ. We’ve all had our moments (let me drink your tears).

That’s all I have for this week’s edition of Batavia’s Best. If there’s anything you feel should be included, get a hold of me on Twitter and send me the link. I wonder what the internet will have in store for us next week.
