Batavia’s Best Spring Sports Awards – FINALLY ready to begin the process with NOMINATIONS

Following a brief delay, as we continue to wait for a few local softball teams’ final statistics, the process of delivering the 2017 Batavia’s Best Spring Sports Awards has begun!

Starting today, we will now be accepting nominations for those who you believe are worthy of recognition in the following categories:

 

Boys Spring Athlete of the Year – Top boys athlete from the spring season

Girls Spring Athlete of the Year – Top girls athlete from the spring season

Boys Spring Underclassman of the Year – Top boys sophomore or freshman during the spring sports season

Girls Spring Underclasswoman of the Year – Top girls sophomore or freshman during the spring sports season

Boys Spring Coach of the Year – Top boys coach during the spring sports season

Girls Spring Coach of the Year – Top girls coach during the spring sports season

The Diamond Dinger Award – Top hitter in all of HS Baseball

King of the Hill – Top pitcher in all of HS Baseball

The Hallmark Hands Award – Top fielder in all of HS Baseball

The Silver Swinger Award – Top hitter in all of HS Softball

Queen of the Circle – Top pitcher in all of HS Softball

The Titanium Tee Award – Top golfer during the spring season

The Ruby Racket Award – Top tennis player during the spring season

Boys #TrackNation Award – Top boys Track and Field Athlete during the spring season

Girls #TrackNation Award – Top girls Track and Field Athlete during the spring season

All-Batavia’s Best Teams for all Spring Sports – Top athletes in each sport during the spring season

  6. I nominate Eric Neace for the spring athlete of the year and the King of the year awards. He hit a .562 batting average, 4 home runs and 29 RBIs. He hit 2 of the 4 homeruns in a single inning against Byron Bergen. Additionally, he was selected as a Genesee Region All-Star and participated in the Exceptional Senior game where we was the only player on the Genesee Region team to have 3 hits. Academically, he was ranked 11 in his class with a GPA of 91.

  11. I nominate LeRoy’s Reece Tresco for the spring underclassman sports award. He batted over .400, led team in hits, 2nd in RBI’s, double digit steals, game winning double in sectional finals, LCAA All-star.
